Lands & Legacy Celebration

Friday, July 29 - Sunday, July 31

Thanks to you and growing community support, land conservation in the Eastern Sierra has come a long way since Eastern Sierra Land Trust was founded just 15 years ago. Families have conserved their land for future generations, volunteers have given their time and talents, and supporters like you have made it all possible with generous gifts to protect these lands you love.

Lands & Legacy is our "Party of the Year" - an annual occasion to celebrate the many conservation successes that you've helped achieve. Join us this summer as we come together with friends both new and old, and raise your glass as we toast the power of permanent conservation!

Benefit Dinner on July 30
5pm - 9pm

Hosted by Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, our Benefit Dinner will be held on Saturday, July 30 in view of the High Sierra at Mammoth Mountain’s stunning Parallax Restaurant. We'll enjoy a fine dinner and open bar, with plenty of time to mingle with friends and conservation partners.

The evening will also feature our signature Paddle Raise: a way for guests to champion causes that will have a major impact on the future of our region. With donation opportunities ranging from $5,000 to $50, the Paddle Raise will offer you the chance to lift your paddle high and make a gift in support of the conservation projects that you care about most.

Guided Walking Tours

In addition, all Lands & Legacy ticketholders are invited to join us for one of two unique walking tours, to be held the same weekend as our Benefit Dinner:

Bridgeport Valley Ranching Legacy Tour --- Friday, July 29 from 1 - 5pm
The vast, fertile expanse of Bridgeport Valley has captivated residents and visitors alike for over a century. The area was recently identified as high-risk for development, and ESLT has been working with local ranching families to protect the valley's rural legacy. Visit a current conservation project, and see this stunning valley for yourself. We'll meet at the Mono Lake County Park at 1pm.

Black Lake Preserve Tour --- Sunday, July 31 from 8 - 11am
A rare wetland in the midst of the desert, ESLT's Black Lake Preserve is home to a diverse array of unusual flora and fauna. Designated as an Important Bird Area, Black Lake serves as a breeding outpost for dozens of migrating bird species; it is also home to pronghorn antelope, golden eagles, and more. Don't forget to bring your binoculars! We'll meet at the Green Church at Benton Crossing at 8am.

Please select one of these two tours when you purchase your Lands & Legacy Celebration tickets. Space on these tours is limited, and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Guests are asked to please leave pets at home.
